Classes & workshops

  • A Virtual Meditation and Movement Class Series

    Monday Mornings from 7:30-8:00am EST

Honey is a weekly meditation and movement virtual class series through Love Land, Tara’s meditation studio.

A "honey mind" refers to a mental state that is sweet, smooth, and free-flowing, much like the texture of honey.

Imagine allowing thoughts and sensations to pass through your mind with acceptance and kindness, instead of becoming frustrated by distractions or stress.

The class begins with a guided meditation for reflection and intention setting, fostering a soft, non-judgmental awareness. This is followed by a gentle flow that combines elements of vinyasa, hatha, and restorative yoga. Moving at a slower pace allows for presence in each asana, with a focus on breath, alignment, and mindful movement. The sequences balance stretching and strengthening to cultivate stability and peace within the body.

The class integrates self-healing practices into their daily lives.

Over time, students will cultivate a fluid and unhurried approach to life, inviting clarity, patience, and abundance into their everyday experience.

    Benefits:

    • Reduces stress and morning anxiety

    • Boosts mental clarity and focus for the week ahead

    • Awakens the body with gentle, mindful movement

    • Cultivates emotional resilience and steadiness

    • Builds a calm, grounded mindset to carry into daily life

Perfect for: days that need soothing, moving through emotion, tapping into ease.

    Register → Love Land.

  • A Virtual Meditation Class Series

COMMUNITY is a free weekly meditation virtual class series through Love Land, Tara’s meditation studio.

A weekly gathering to return to simplicity, presence, and peace. Rooted in the Buddhist practice of shamatha, calm abiding, we’ll gently focus on the breath to settle the mind and open the heart. This session is accessible to all levels and offered freely as a space for collective stillness, awareness, and connection.

Come as you are, take a moment to pause, and breathe with others in shared presence.

    Register → Love Land.

  • A Virtual Meditation Class Series

    Sundays at 11am EST.

    The Signature Meditation Practice

LOVE is a weekly meditation virtual class series through Love Land, Tara’s meditation studio.

Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Pema Chödrön, Thích Nhất Hạnh, and Tara Brach, Love is a 30-minute compassion-centered meditation inspired by loving-kindness (metta) and the peaceful presence of White Tara, the Tibetan deity of compassion. Through spacious guidance, breath, and soft affirmations, we’ll open the heart and radiate love inward and outward.

Perfect for: deep emotional nourishment, reconnecting with compassion, and softening the heart.

    Register → Love Land.

FLORA & EXPLORA: An Art Show

Flora & Explora is interdisciplinary artist Tara Rook’s exploration of art and meditation as pathways to introspection and expanded awareness.

Through illustration, the exhibition reflects on the relationship between inner and outer worlds—how connection to nature, travel, and spirituality mirrors our own creative and spiritual development.

What is it about the natural world that brings peace to the mind, body, and heart? And how can that harmony be deepened through imagination?

Created during her time living in Portland, Maine, these works emerged from a season where spirituality, landscape, and artistic practice interwove seamlessly—inviting viewers to reconnect, reflect, and expand.

Original pieces and illustrated designs will be displayed and for sale at Nako Coffee in Brooklyn from March 29th to April 19th 2026.

Guided Nature Walk: Part 1 (An Art Show)

Guided Nature Walk is Tara’s exploration in applying art, music, bodywork, and meditation for individual and collective healing.

Part 1 is a glimpse of the artist's art world: witnessing one’s true nature reflected in the woods and waters, drawing parallels to artistic creation and spiritual development.

What about a nature walk brings peace of mind?  How can that not only be replicated, but enhanced through our visual imagination?  When opening your mind to connections, you unfold to a universe of possibilities, expanding gracefully with intention.

These illustrations are inspired by our connection to the natural world.

Tara is working with three themes for Guided Nature Walk: Part 1:

MOVING OUT • LET LOVE IN • BEACH TREATS

Five original pieces and an illustrated design poster will be displayed and for sale at SeaWeed Co in Maine from January 4th to February 17th, 2022.

10% of art sales will be donated to the Indigo Arts Alliance.
