Ego Death: Flip The Script (A Meditation Workshop for Creative Expansion)
This is a live audio recording of the second part of a three part meditation workshop series for creative expansion taught by Maine-based multidisciplinary artist, Tara Rook. The theme of the second part is Flip The Script.
Part 1 of Ego Death: There Is Love In You, focused on releasing tension and inviting love to flow through the body using the breath. Flip The Script will focus on using the power of speech in relation to the body and mind to let go of attachments physically, energetically, and emotionally.
Through meditation we will focus on transforming our attachments to confusing energies and negative mindsets associated with the ego: “I Am this” or “I Am that”. Tara will cover basic seated meditation, and guide participants through a meditation to connect to our speech. We will work towards cultivating compassion towards our self and others through affirmations and mantras. Beginning to recognize and release these attachments is a key for cultivating creativity and activating abundance.
This workshop is geared towards individuals looking for creative expansion in their work or daily life.
Prior meditation experience is highly recommended but not necessary.
Recording is from May 24th, 2022 at Tara Rook Studios, LLC in Portland, Maine. Tara Rook is an artist and music producer who enjoys teaching meditation and mindful art practices. She comes from a Tibetan Buddhist upbringing in the Shambhala Buddhist community and is currently exploring her own path.
